Yoga, But Not for Six-Pack Abs!


On a Sunday evening, I was sitting with my friend in the park. We were having a conversation on Fitness and Health. He is a gym enthusiast. And I am a Yoga Freak. So he was telling me about his huge muscles and how fit he is.

This incident got me to think that having big muscles and six-pack abs are all about being healthy or there is much more wider definition of health, not limited to the only physical aspect of the body.

What is Health?
According to World Health Organization, Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

I want to assure you in the very first blog of mine that I will not write this blog as a complete theory base. Rather it will be filled with my own experiments with new things, practical guide, my own experiences etc.

I promise you it will be an interesting journey.

If you are agile on the physical level, calm on the mental level and vibrant on the energy level that complete health for me. Because even if you have a good physic and your mind is restless, that is not "Health".

Health means your system is completely at ease on all levels. The meaning of disease is body not being at ease.

Now the question comes how to achieve complete health. And if you ask me this question, without a shadow of a doubt I will just say "Yoga". Yoga is the answer to all your health problems.
"Yoga" is the most misunderstood word in the fitness category.

Why misunderstood? See, I will ask you a question and you just have to tell me what comes to your mind.

What is Yoga?
I am sure, the people who are doing some weird physical poses, bending and twisting bodies etc. these types of images must be coming to your mind. But yoga too (Just like health) is not limited to physical wellbeing. It is more than that.

Through yoga you can achieve physical, mental and energy level wellbeing.

But you have to do real yoga. Not the type yoga people are practicing nowadays. That is not the real yoga.

Yoga has the potential to cure all types of ailment whether it is physical or mental. This is not a theoretical statement.

I am making this statement on my personal experience. 

How to achieve “Complete Health”?
Now the question should come to your mind that how to achieve complete well-being through “Yoga”.  So I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge you that I have started this blog to share my experiences about Yoga and Fitness. The day I started the following Fitness & Yoga principles, my life has completely changed.

The boy who used to get cough every month is not having it past 6 months. The one who always has stomach problems is now peaceful with it. My mind is also completely calm and stable which used to wander like it has no master. Now I feel like I am really enjoying my life. I have started to enjoy all the moments in my life, whether it is small or big, bad or good. Enjoying is constant throughout them. Indeed!

I want all this to happen to you. I want all you to be happy and peaceful.
